DIY Bohemian Hanger for Handmade Clothing Photoshoots

As I told before - I love to make lots of things with hands and love to "invent a bicycle" even a solution exists.

What do you need to make this hanger?

  • artificial paper leaves (4 cream, 3 peach)
  • natural moss (or aritificial, nut I took natural dried moss)
  • artificial roses and poppies,
  • florist tape (i took deep green)
  • 2 artificial willow branches on a wire
  • linen twine
  • natural thin branches from any tree
  • artificial green berries on a wire
  • 1 pre-made hanger  from a stick of desired lenght (scrool down to know how I did it)
  • hot glue gun

Step 1. With the help of floral tape, join berries and branches,

Step 2. Take willow branch and twist it around the hanger, attaching the branches with berries.

To secure this construction - use a hot glue gun.

I put few drops of hot glue under the berries.

Step 3. Twist the twine around both ends of a hanger.

Finally, place the flowers and attach leaves around them to cover the places where you glue the flowers to the stick.

How, when you are done - attach the moss. And enjoy tour work!

I also made another handmade bohemian hanger - it is more colorful, just to make sure I have 2 styles of handmade hangers for my photoshoots...

How did I make a stick for the hanger?

At first, I looked for a stick in a forest nearby. I found a fallen branch which was dry and in pretty good condition. At home I cut that branch to the desired width (mine is 40cm), coated the branch with special tint for wood, I applied 2 coats of tint to make it dark. Also, I coated the stick with acrylic varnish to finish the surface coating and make it more durable. The hook I took from old, broken hanger: I made a hole in a stick and glued the hook into it. That's all!
